After the bust of Marrakech, this day excursion to Essaouira was just what I needed. Particularly the visit at the argan oil cooperative where we saw its production and even sampled some, the journey was wonderful. Essaouira is itself a quiet, artistic town; the medina was simple to see, and the seafood from the harbor was very fresh. The guide was kind and let us plenty of free time as well. I heartily recommend it to everyone seeking a laid-back getaway from the city!
A day just wonderful! Essaouira is a quite lovely town, and our trip was rather well planned. Everything went without a hitch, from the time we were picked up in Marrakech till the return. Walking around the medieval ramparts and exploring the medina’s art and woodcraft stores was much enjoyed. Such a welcome difference were the sea wind and slower speed. Our driver was kind and offered insightful commentary all through. Would very definitely do it once again!
