This three-day trip across the desert from Fes to Marrakech was a lifelong event! From the alpine feelings of Ifrane and the cedar woods of Azrou to the dramatic Ziz Valley and lastly the great dunes of Merzouga, every day presented something fresh and interesting. The night at the desert camp was cosy and full of music and good food; the camel trip into the Sahara at dusk was spectacular. We traversed the wonderfully beautiful Todra and Dades Gorges on the second day. Our guide revealed so much about Moroccan culture and was very useful. We felt as if we had seen the genuine heart of Marrakech by the time we arrived. Highly suggest this trip to everyone looking to see Morocco’s varied beauty in a few days.

This desert excursion is the finest approach if you are heading from Fes to Marrakech. We spent three days seeing amazing scenery and interesting towns instead of flying or riding a lengthy bus. The camel journey into Erg Chebbi at nightfall was wonderful, and the desert camp was considerably more pleasant than we had anticipated immaculate tents, cosy blankets and even hot showers! Day two was bursting with views including the Todra Gorge and a picturesque Dades Valley tour. The last day took us over the High Atlas Mountains, stopping at the well-known Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, then down into energetic Marrakech. Our driver made us feel comfortable and welcome; everything was orderly. Perfect blend of comfort, culture, and adventure!
